Lorenzo taken Qatar MotoGP pole, late drama for Marquez

Defending MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo has taken the first pole position of the 2016 season, he setting the pole time, a 1m54.543s, in first part of qualifying two; his second attempt was failed following turn 1 error.

The Honda rider Marc Marquez and Suzuki speedy Maverick Vinales has completing the front row for tomorrow night battle.

There was also late drama for Marquez, when he attempt to start practice after qualifying, the Spaniard’s Honda lose control to the left and made off road tour.

The Ducati rider Andrea Iannone improved but dropped to fourth, ahead of Valentino Rossi, with the top five riders covered by 0.272s.

Andrea Dovizioso was sixth on the second factory Ducati, ahead of Dani Pedrosa, and satellite riders Hector Barbera, Pol Espargaro and Cal Crutchlow.
